I can say with about 95% certainty that you should be Captaining Beal

in this

contest. Here are a few reasons why. Reason 1: Beal has been lighting the basket on fire since the All-Star Break. He has two games of 53+ points and another 42-pointer on top of that — last game against the Jazz . Reason 2: The

can’t guard Beal. Reason 3: There are few players worth paying up for in the contest. I could probably go all the way to Reason 2,346 but we don’t have that much time. WHO SHOULD I STACK WITH BEAL?

The Warriors have been the worst team at defending the 3-point line this season. They allow opponents to make around 14 3-pointers per game. The Wizards aren’t even scoring on teams by abusing the 3-point line. So this is a get-right spot for Bertans

. He’s

shot 5-for-19 in the past two games. The minutes are there, we just aren’t see the usage or FGAs translate. That could be because of Beal and his volume, but this is a game with 231.5 OVER/UNDER. Bertans should get easier looks from outside and his price is pretty cheap. WHERE CAN I FIND VALUE?

KEVON LOONEY

Looney has

finally strung together a few good outings despite low minutes. He hasn’t played more than 20 minutes in a game all season, but he’s getting closer. It’s a small sample but over the past two games — per 36 minutes — Looney

is

averaging 14.8 points, 10.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists. Not included is his 54.5 percent shooting from the floor. If this game goes one way or

the other, Looney

could see

over 20 minutes and at the near minimum, would be able to return upwards of 10-15x value.

It’s not a Showdown article if I’m not fading Dray. He’s questionable to play to begin with and missed Saturday’s game. In two games he did play post-ASB, Green
