Cultivating Awareness. Most highly intentional people aren’t aware of their relational deficits. Instead, they’re attuned to accomplishing goals or to defending a truth or belief they hold. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO MAKE JESUS THE CENTER OF MY LIFE It means you acknowledge Jesus as the ultimate authority in your life and you voluntarily yield the control of your life to Him. Underline that last statement. Let it sink in. For Jesus to be the center of your life, it means He is in control. You no longer desire to independently run your own life, but you surrender your whole self toJesus

It is a life-on-life environment, heart-to-heart centered, and obedience focused. It is motivated by love, fueled by the Holy Spirit, and the result is dramatic transformation. WHOM SHOULD YOU DISCIPLE? The best disciples are those in whom the Spirit of God is already at work, giving them a hunger for spiritual things. We call those people “poppers” at our church. Just like popcorn, when the spiritual temperature turns up, they are the first to pop! Their spiritual light is on. They show up to church regularly. ANNOUNCEMENT: 2021 NATIONAL DISCIPLE MAKING FORUM: THE Dear Discipleship-first Friends, The past twelve months have revealed to us the true state of the church and the lives of many disciples of Jesus in North America. THE CALL TO MAKE DISCIPLES IN MATTHEW 28: 18-20 In this chapter, we’re asking three critical questions of this seminal passage. We begin with the two verses before it: “Then the eleven disciples left for Galilee, going to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him—but some of them doubted!” (Matt. 28: 16-17, NLT). 1. INFORMATIONAL V.S. Man and Woman Eat the Fruit – Genesis 3:1-13. 5 BEST PRACTICES FOR DISCIPLE-MAKING Here are 5 of the best practices I’ve seen in disciple makers around the country and beyond: 1. They make disciple making the top priority. These leaders are clear that disciple making is the core mission of the church and their first priority. Ralph Moore, founder of the Hope Chapel Movement, put it this way: “Disciple making is the focus WILL YOU PAY THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP? NEIL ANDERSON’S For the past thirty years Neil Anderson, PhD, has been one of the most influential voices in North American Christianity. It is the first and most important aspect of the Holy Spirit’s fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22). The apostle Paul describes it for us succinctly: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. FOUR SIGNS THAT YOU MIGHT BELIEVE IN EASY JESUS There is both a progressive Easy Jesus and a conservative Easy Jesus. Here are four signs that you might believe in Easy Jesus: 1. Can’t admit that I could be wrong. Easy Jesus tells me that I am right about everything because he believes and teaches everything that I alreadybelieve.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO MAKE JESUS THE CENTER OF MY LIFE It means you acknowledge Jesus as the ultimate authority in your life and you voluntarily yield the control of your life to Him. Underline that last statement. Let it sink in. For Jesus to be the center of your life, it means He is in control. You no longer desire to independently run your own life, but you surrender your whole self toJesus
