Taken at dusk, a light on the riverside reveals the faint shadows for generations of phototropic insects who have lived and died in its twilight. Many theories persist regarding this phenomena including that insects follow the path of VELA SUPERNOVA REMNANT (DETAIL) This is not a typical “stellar nursery” where nebulae coalesce to birth new stars. This is the opposite. The gruesome remains of a star that has died violently – it’s corpse shredded and splattered across the night sky like bloody veins stretched to their limits in RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR HUMAN INFLUENCE TEST Hi all, For my final assignment for a statistics subject this year at CSU, I am doing an online experiment to measure whether the power of the human mind can influence Random Number Generators (in this case a seeded random PHP function). NGC 3324, THE NEBULA WITH A FACE This object is fairly bright and beautiful but doesn’t get a whole lot of attention because it’s next to the greater Carina nebula, which is nuts. Of course this galactic neighbourhood contains far more than 3 galaxies and is a part of a cluster filled with nearby fuzzy blobs.
