Museum Metamorphosis: Exhibit Deinstallation and Demolition After the taxidermy was removed, demolition started. MEET OUR ANIMAL AMBASSADORS Diet: carnivorous—rats at the Museum, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds in the wild. Lifespan: up to 30 years. Lady Gaga was named so because of another boa we had staying at the Museum, Katy Perry. Lady Gaga may grow up to be 10 feet or longer! Female boas grow to be 1-3 feet longer than males. BIRDS - DELAWARE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY Bird Department The DMNH bird collection includes more than 113,000 specimens representing about 4,000 species from around the world, with especially strong collections of Philippine and Central and South American birds. Standing in the midst of the Hall of Birds are two mounted Chinese dinosaur skeleton models from the Sichuan Basin: A two-footed meat eater named Yangchuanosaurus and a four-footed plant eater named Tuojiangosaurus. MEET OUR ANIMAL AMBASSADORS Diet: carnivorous—rats at the Museum, small mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds in the wild. Lifespan: up to 30 years. Lady Gaga was named so because of another boa we had staying at the Museum, Katy Perry. Lady Gaga may grow up to be 10 feet or longer! Female boas grow to be 1-3 feet longer than males. BIRDS - DELAWARE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY Bird Department The DMNH bird collection includes more than 113,000 specimens representing about 4,000 species from around the world, with especially strong collections of Philippine and Central and South American birds.
