DECORCHICK!
Sometimes I really wish I knew what I was doing when it comes to plants and gardening. And I wish I had the patience to learn. ;) But the truth is I don’t know much at all, which is probably an embarrassing fact to my Mom, grandmother, and sister, who just so happen to be gardening princesses. IKEA WHITE PAINT FORMULA I chose latex, but you could do oil-based if you want as well. PAINT COLORS IN OUR HOME AND UPDATED HOME TOUR The laundry room is a fun color, Chrysanthemum. Our master bedroom has one dark navy accent wall called Naval, and the white walls are painted Alabaster. We moved into a new construction home at the end of 2008. It’s a 2-story, open concept floor plan. I loved it, and knew it was ours when we came to look at it. DIY GOLD METALLIC TABLE So I went gold-happy on it too and made it a very easy DIY gold metallic table! It’s fun and different and I liked it better than before. Here’s the before. The doors were barely hanging on, and there were plenty of imperfections as it obviously housed some kid books. Plus all of our furniture in the living room is dark brownleather, so
CLEVER AND PRETTY WAYS TO HAVE A DESK IN THE BEDROOM A lot of people consider the bedroom a sanctuary where there should be nothing but a bed, nightstands, and lamps. SAY BUH-BYE TO THE CAMEL WALLS Y’all may have noticed from some recent makeovers that I have been trying to slowly weed out my traditional red and gold decor, and have been adding some modern touches, yes? I still do love the colors and have decorated with them ever since I moved out and got my first apartment. But, I’m ready HOW TO: THE PANELED WALL Thanks for all of the love on my stepson’s new paneled wall!! We just love it, and so does he! Ok, now on to the tutorial. I have to give a special thanks to Rambling Renovators first and foremost for the inspiration behind this project. If you haven’t checked out their paneled wall yet, you must do that. They even went the extra step and added some pretty trim to each of the boards. THE PAINTED PANTRY DOOR! Those foam rollers just soak up too much paint for my liking. I painted the panel insets first, then just followed the grain of the door to do the outside areas. It’s very easy. I did not sand the door or anything first (wasn’t necessary for this door), but I did clean it well with some TSP before I WHERE TO FIND INEXPENSIVE POUFS AND OTTOMANS Just wanted to pop in and let you know where you can find those cute pouf ottoman things that you see everywhere, including our new seating area in the living room which many of you asked about. And by the way, thank you for all of the repins! Keep em' coming. :) But the best deal I have found was at World Market and they are the knitted kind, andsuper cute.

DIY Fairy Garden. Well this turned out way cuter than I had imagined. I never paint small samples, because I am a lazy woman – I picked our new wall color totally in Home Depot looking at the swatch, but it’s “Tobacco Leaf” and I thinkit will be great.
