Friends of Bob live music co-op doesn’t presently have any concerts scheduled. We’ll post details as soon as we do. Friends of Bob's 25th Anniversary Picks!! WABASH HERITAGE TRAIL Location: The northern trailhead is at the Tippecanoe Battlefield Memorial, at the southern edge of Battleground.From Lafayette, go north on Ninth Street, which becomes Canal Road, and keep following this (bear right at the "Y" intersection). You’ll go under Sagamore Parkway, over the Wabash River, and sooner or later reachBattleground.
WILBUR WRIGHT FISH AND WILDLIFE AREA Location: From the intersection of SR 38 and SR 103 in New Castle, north on SR 103 a few miles. 103 goes right through the area. Description: Not Visited.Small, at 970 acres; but some good hiking and canoeing along the Big Blue River. Both the Big Blue and Little Blue run along or through the property. LOUIE LASKOWSKI STUDIO Louie Laskowski's vivid, colorful work is both narrative and figurative. She explores gender identity using personal story and image. Often humorous, it takes you by the hand, and tells its enchanting stories. Her brushwork, transformation of everyday objects into icons, and eccentric frames all conspire to create the Laskowskiexperience.

An Urban Fairy Tale. By Donald J. Levit . Art by Esmiralda. The strangest things will show up anywhere. He was walking down the streets, 95 in the sun and no shade, when he exploded. POOF! Just blew up into pieces that scattered and fluttered down over passersby, who started for only a blasé moment and then, shrugging, continued ontheir hurried way.
KONRAD JUESTEL ARTWORK Born in the Wagrain, Austria, in 1924, Konrad Juestel studied under the great Austrian expressionist artist Oskar Kokoschka in the mid 1950s. In 1959, Juestel immigrated to the United States working initially in New York and Chicago. Since the late 1970s, Juestel has worked as a painter and freelance designer. From 1986 to 1988, he attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago studying HARLAN HUBARD ARTWORK Harlan and Anna Hubbard removed themselves from 20th century industrial society to live a simple self-sufficient life on a shantyboat down the Ohio and Mississippi rivers and later in a home in Payne Hollow, Kentucky, overlooking the Ohio River.FRIENDS OF BOB

POTATO CREEK STATE PARK Location: Located just a little southwest of South Bend, take SR 4 west from US 31 about 4 miles.Park is on the north side of the road. VANDOLAH NATURE PRESERVE Location: From Fort Wayne travel north on I-69 to exit 116 (SR 1/Dupont Road). Turn left (west) onto Dupont Road and then right (north) onto Auburn Road. After 4-½ miles, Auburn Road swings toward the interstate and Vandolah Road branches to the right (east). CHELSEA FLATWOODS
LoCation: From I-65, take SR 56 to SR 62, then turn right on 62 and go 3 miles to CR 500s.Turn left, and the preserve is on your right. DesCription: Not Visited. Relatively undisturbed woodland near the Ohio River. Several unusual plants are supposed to occur here.. Nearby Points of Interest: Charlestown State Park, CLifty Falls State Park,Clark State Forest.
BUFFALO FLAT
Location: From US 231 in Jasper, go east on 15th St. just over half a mile to the Jasper-Kellersville Road; turn left onto this and go just over a mile to the preserve, which is mostly on your left. Description: A swamp forest, with some ponds here and there; rare animals and birds and a good habitat, as the Nature Conservancy book says "for reptiles, particularly snakes".MALLARD ROOST

PIGEON RIVER FISH AND WILDLIFE AREA Location: From the intersection of SR 9 and US 20, go north on SR 9 to SR 120, then turn east and go through the town of Brighton to SR 327in Orland.Turn south and proceed to US 20, then turn west and go to the intersection with SR 9, which is where you started. You have just driven around the Pigeon River F&W, and you missed the road to the office, which is three miles north of US 20 on SR 3CLARK STATE FOREST
Location: From I-65 in southeastern Indiana, take the SR 160 exit to Henryville, then go one mile north of Henryville on US 31 to the forest entrance. The main part of the forest is actually on the other (west) side of I-65. Description: Not Visited. Clark covers 23,979 acres, apparently all contiguous, and has several good hiking trails, including a big part of the Knobstone Trail, Indiana's MINNEHAHA FISH AND WILDLIFE AREA Location: From US 41 south of Terre Haute, east on SR 54 (yes, WAY south of Terre Haute) through the town of Dugger. The property check-in is just east of Dugger on 54. Description: Not Visited. At 11,400 acres, largest F&W in the state; located mostly on reclaimedstrip mine lands.
TWIN SWAMPS NATURE PRESERVE Twin Swamps Nature Preserve. Location: From Mount Vernon (17 miles west of Evansville on SR 62) take SR 69 south, through a sharp right turn at the Hovey Lake Fish and Wildlife Area, then 1 and a third miles to where the road curves left; go straight instead of curving to the stop sign at CR 300W; turn right immediately and go about .8 mileto

Description: Not Visited. A small (34 acres) prairie remnant with mostly grasslands. If you're coming into Indiana from Chicago and headed for I-65, why not take a short detour? This is very near where "north By Northwest" filmed the famous cornfield scene with Cary Grant. Nearby Points of Interest: Deep River, Gibson Woods, GrandKankakee
