DAVID & ROSE HILL
God was the world’s first Gardner when He “planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed” Genesis 2:8. The garden was apparently man’s home, and it produced everything he needed to sustain him, verse 9. ABOUT US – DAVID & ROSE HILL David and Rose Hill. Hello, and welcome to DavidandRoseHill.com. Thank-you for stopping by. Who Are We? We are David and Rose Hill. We were raised in different localities and from different “Christian” backgrounds, Rose in South Eastern Pennsylvania, and David in South Western Pennsylvania; Rose a Mennonite, and David a Pentecostal. “THE LORD’S PRAYER” Often the words in Matthew 6:9-13 are referred to as “the Lord’s prayer”. However these words are not really a prayer, but are a model teaching us how to structure a prayer.THE LIGHT OF HOPE
Proverbs – a book of wisdom – in 4:18 says, “ the path of the just is like the shining sun (light, KJV), That shines ever brighter (more and more KJV) unto the perfect day.” OUR OVERCOMING VICTORY In 1 John 5:4 the Spirit of God tells us, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.” BE READY – DAVID & ROSE HILL In Matthew 25:1-13 Jesus teaches us about His return, likening it to a Hebrew marriage. The betrothal had been made, then during the engagement period the bride stayed at home with her parents and prepared her trousseau while the groom went to prepare a home forthem.
OUR EVERY DAY GOD
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits, the God of our salvation! Selah” Psalm 68:19. By dropping the two words “with benefits” which are not in the original manuscripts, but were added by translators in an effort to clarify, we can see a whole differentpicture here.
THE PLACE OF PEACE
In Psalm 119:165 the Psalmist cries out, “Great peace have those who love Your law, and nothing causes them to stumble.” He had found a place where there is an abundance of peace (Hebrew Shalom, to be safe, figuratively well, happy, to have friendship and, abstractly, welfare, i.e. to have health, prosperity, and peace). Are these not the things we all seek for in life, but seeking them inFAITH OR HOPE?
Faith and hope are so intertwined that it may be difficult to separate them. It appears that one cannot operate without the other as its companion; without faith hope has no certainty, without hope faith has no object to believe for, or entity to believe in, no aim, goal, ortarget if you will.
COME UNTO ME
In Matthew 11:27-30, Jesus shows us that no one can really know God except by His (Jesus) revelation of Him to those whom He wills toreveal Him to.

OUR OVERCOMING VICTORY In 1 John 5:4 the Spirit of God tells us, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.”A SECRET PLACE
In a world that is filled with anxiety, unrest, and fear, our heart cries out for a secret place of refuge from the “storm”. That place of refuge is not found by vacationing on a remote tropical island, a white-sand beach, or a mountain top cottage; it is only found in the presence of THE POWER OF GOD’S WORD TO SALVATION (PART ONE) “For I am not ashamed of the gospel (the message or word*) of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes ” Romans 1:16. To all who sense the deep inner longing within them to know God, by heeding the message of His word and coming to Him believing what it says, therein is power to save “to the uttermost those who come to God through Him” Hebrews 7:25. BEATITUDES (PART TWO) Today we will look briefly at three more of the keys Jesus gave us in Matthew 5:1-12 to unlock and give us access into the blissful state of blessings that await those who enter through these gates. JOYFUL GIVING (PART 1) “What! Giving again?” I asked in dismay, “And must I keep giving and giving away?” “Oh, no, said the angel, piercing me through, Just give till the Father stops giving to you.”A LIVING HOPE
In 1 Peter 1:3-5 we are told that “the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you” JOYFUL GIVING (PART 2} In sending out His twelve disciples to minister in Matthew 10:8 Jesus said, “ Freely you have received, freely give.” His hand has given us everything we have, and therefore we are only giving back part of what He has given to us. THE BEAUTY OF SUNSET AND SUNRISE Both old age and youth are beautiful in the sight of God. “Behold, children are heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward” (Psalm 127:3).And Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God” (Mark 10:14).DAVID & ROSE HILL

LOST HOPE OR LIVING HOPEFebruary 3, 2020
Written by DAVID
The book of Lamentations portrays the people of Judah, God’s covenant people who were given the covenants and promises, but had now rebelled and disobeyed, breaking the covenant. For this reason God withdrew His hand of blessing; punishment, destruction, and judgment had come upon them, and under these conditions hope seems to have beenlost,
