Get a cold air intake, V8 tb, might also look into free flowing exhaust, the exhaust manifolds from the 1992 3.9 magnums flow better then the newer ones, these can be a cheaper alternative then buying headers.4WD CONVERSION
The NV242 is great because it allows 2wd, 4hi, 4AWD and 4LO. I picked one up for $60 at the local U-pull yard. Plenty of Gen 1 Durangos showing up now. The NV231HD (2wd, 4hi, 4lo) from same era would also work, (same input shaft length and bolt pattern as Gen 2 electricshift NV233/244)
WHAT ARE SOME GOOD PERFORMANCE MODS FOR A 3.9? neromo4. -taking the clutch fan will make a noticeable difference. -i have a 25% under-drive crank pulley that made a good difference, and battery has no issues. -tps sensor mod makes the throttle more responsive. -make a spacer for the throttle cable behind your gas pedal to take up the slack ( about a 1/2 to 3/4in) for a moreresponsive pedal

Had it towed in, scanned, was told the code was saying Crank sensor communication was interupted. They changed the crank sensor, engine ran 30 minutes and quit, same code. They changed the PCM engine ran 5 minutes, same code. CLUNK FROM FRONT SUSPENSION Got a minor issue. Every so often (usually in reverse and turning to right at same time) I get a "Clunk" coming from what feels/sounds like the left front close to the wheel. I thought maybe ball joint or tie rod went bad. Took to shop and all linkage was solid however duepartly to age and
DRB CODES 74 AND 68
DRB codes 74 and 68. History first. Brake pads wore down on my 2000 4.7 Durango 4x4. Fluid level went low, brake and ABS lights came on. Did the brake job, fluid level back to normal, but brake and ABS lights still on. No CEL, so no engine codes to look at. So I asked google and the forums and found 85% of everybody raving about the reardiff
TRANSMISSION COOLER
Do a search one summit racing, they have a few different types (oil coolers, fluid coolers etc..) you can't go wrong with either. I ran a Hayden Oil Cooler that came as a kit with hose barbs hoses and fittings, only thing you will need to find is the Mopar, AMC, Dodge, Jeep fitting to thread into the radiator hole (There is the factory fluid cooler that runs inside the radiator), can't LS SWAP - LOVE IT OR HATE IT Discussion Starter · #1 · Jan 11, 2013. About a year ago, we ran across a 1999 Dakota R/T with bushing and ball joint problems, and picked it up for $2000 at auction. It turned out, it also had cracked heads and gasket failure, which is common in these engines. Planning on using it as a shop truck, and wanting to fool with an old KenneBell
P1492 BATTERY TEMP SENSOR? Joined Sep 7, 2007. ·. 121 Posts. Discussion Starter • #10 • Oct 20, 2007. I was told a couple of days ago that you could cut the wires and tie them together. Then clear the code. I chose not to but I will wait to fix it a little while. The sensor is $44 at Autoxxxx. C. RADIATOR CAP PRESSURE LBS QUESTION NO, 20 PSI cap will not be OK. If your stock cap says 16lbs, then get a 16 PSI replacement cap. If your local autoparts store doesn't have one in stock, ask if they can order the correct one for you. If they don't know what the correct one is, then find another autoparts store or order it online. If you don't have the stock cap and you aren't__ __
