Gade’s greatest successes, not only in his native Denmark but throughout Europe, where Erlkönigs Tochter was performed several hundred times, often conducted by Gade himself. The Zapolsky Quartet was founded in february 1993 around the violinist Alexander Zapolski. From its first concert, the quartet has made its mark very rapidly as one of the leading chamber ensembles in the country, with a large, wide-ranging repertoire. CHRISTINE NONBO ANDERSEN The soprano Christine Nonbo Andersen graduated from the class of Margrete Enevold at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 2014. She began her musical career in the Danish National Children’s Choir, and until 2004 she sang in the Danish National Girls’ Choir. COMPOSER OLE BUCK TURNS 75 In his youth, the Danish composer Ole Buck (b. 1945) studied with Per Nørgård and Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen. Buck came into focus early with his work. His music for Flemming Flindt's ballet Felix Luna at the Royal Danish Theatre in 1973 has more or less achieved the status of a succès de scandale, and his Summer Trio from 1968 questioned the whole modernist project with itsBINE BRYNDORF
Bine Bryndorf is a professor of organ and sacred music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. She is also an organist at the Trinitatis Church in Copenhagen. She was born and grew up in Helsingør. At the age of 18 she went to Vienna and took her completetraining there.
