D15 TURBO BUILD
I’ve never built a D series and I’m starting a turbo build for my 94’ dx. It has the 1.5 non vtec. I want to boost it w vitara no-notch h-beams and swap in a vtec head ( w the proper high fuel map ecu ofc) but im havin trouble finding a trustworthy turbo kit and don’t know which vtec head will D-SERIES NGK SPARK PLUG INFO. NGK plugs heat range is the first number in the part #, I.E. BKR 6 E-11. Of course, a colder plug would be a 7 and a hotter plug woiuld be a 5. So, if you need a colder or hotter plug, you can change this and get your local auto parts store to cross the number and see if its available. The BKR7E-11 is a common turbo and nitrous plug IIRC. When warm outside my compressor acts like it is thermal cycling and when the OP/newb mentioned it, it makes sense. HELP!?! D16Z6 VITARA BUILD BASE MAP S300 D16z6 head. Stock intake manifold and throttle body. Speed factory 4 bar map. Crower springs and retainers. Delta 272-2 cam. Precision 880cc injectors. Precision 60/63 journal bearing. Aem 400 fuel pump. If you need to know anything else please let me know really trying to get this running/ idle. BREATHER ON VALVE COVER The air rushing over the tip of the tube creates a vacuum much like the way an airplane wing generates lift. The point of the breather hose is to recirculate blow-by gas that makes it's way to the valve cover. Take your oil cap off when the car is idling. You can feel distinct pulses of the blowby. CONNECT YOUR HEADLIGHTS STRAIGHT TO YOUR BATTERY I ran some higher wattage Nokyas a few years ago. Didn't upgrade the harness. Ended up melting the plugs. Went back to stock bulbs and everything was fine. But then the bulbs started winking on and off randomly, and burning out quickly (3 months). Figured it would be WHICH L3 TRANSMISSION DO I HAVE? Count the teeth on each gear and counter gear and then divide to get gear ratio. Oh yeah and its a 88 style trans. So for a clutch setup use this. If you have the 1988 21 spline tranny and you want to use the 90-91 flywheel that has the bigger clutch, then use this setup. 90 MEASURED ROD BEARINGS. NEED HELP CHOOSING CORRECT SIZE 838 Posts. I called the company ive ordered it from and there S20-P20 TRANNY,THE SAME??? hey transex you seem to know your stuff. So here's a question. Click to expand CIVIC VSS TROUBLESHOOT/FIX Code 17 of the ECU shown as a solid CEL light and Code 4 of the TCU shown as a blinking "S" light or a blinking "D4" light is an indicator of a failed VSS circuit. 90% chance the fault is in the speed sensor's contacts.To learn more about the diagnostic codes see dtc.html. So if you intend on making "much over 200 hp", youre going to need head studs, and depending on how much over 200 you want to make, you will also need rods. As for boost, its impossible to say. I ran a quality 4 gauge from the battery + to a distroblock under the hood,fused on the

HOLSET TURBO SPECS. HY, HX, H1C/WH1C, H1E/WH1E It reaches 20+psi by 3500rpms in 3rd with 272 cams. Smaller cams would equal a faster spool speed in most cases. The 7blade hx35 has a 56mm compressor inducer. This is found on the 1999-2002 cummins manual pickups. The compressor flows 60lb/min according to the compressor map and logged results from a member here. BUILDING A POWERFUL STREET NA D16Y8/Z6 The one thing you need to keep in mind is- if you need more than 160whp, either consider boosting or swapping, because even tho the D is a value, it has a low NA power ceiling vs. the DOHC. stock b18c5 - 161-165 whp, 109-113 wtq, cost 5K. stock b18c1 - 140-144 whp, 103-107wtq, cost 4K.
FUEL INJECTORS HAVE CONSTANT 12V POWER TO BOTH WIRES ok heres the deal all four of my fuel injectors have 12v power to both wires when ignition is on position and power does not cut off like it should when u hear the injectors stop running all the injector wires stays on its not noramal. theres stil 12v power between yellow and the signal wires. so when i go to start it up it has a hard time starting up it sputters and then it runs but so richD16 TORQUE SPECS

Here's how I've figured it to be: This is a normal style resonator. Notice how it's straight through not a single restriction in the setup. This is your basic shop-style glasspack. I’ve never built a D series and I’m starting a turbo build for my 94’ dx. It has the 1.5 non vtec. D-SERIES NGK SPARK PLUG INFO. NGK plugs heat range is the first number in the part #, I.E. BKR 6 E-11. Of course, a colder plug would be a 7 and a hotter plug woiuld be a 5. So, if you need a colder or hotter plug, you can change this and get your local auto parts store to cross the number and see if its available. The BKR7E-11 is a common turbo and nitrous plug IIRC. HOLSET TURBO SPECS. HY, HX, H1C/WH1C, H1E/WH1E It reaches 20+psi by 3500rpms in 3rd with 272 cams. Smaller cams would equal a faster spool speed in most cases. The 7blade hx35 has a 56mm compressor inducer. This is found on the 1999-2002 cummins manual pickups. The compressor flows 60lb/min according to the compressor map and logged results from a member here. BUILDING A POWERFUL STREET NA D16Y8/Z6 The one thing you need to keep in mind is- if you need more than 160whp, either consider boosting or swapping, because even tho the D is a value, it has a low NA power ceiling vs. the DOHC. stock b18c5 - 161-165 whp, 109-113 wtq, cost 5K. stock b18c1 - 140-144 whp, 103-107wtq, cost 4K.
FUEL INJECTORS HAVE CONSTANT 12V POWER TO BOTH WIRES ok heres the deal all four of my fuel injectors have 12v power to both wires when ignition is on position and power does not cut off like it should when u hear the injectors stop running all the injector wires stays on its not noramal. theres stil 12v power between yellow and the signal wires. so when i go to start it up it has a hard time starting up it sputters and then it runs but so richD16 TORQUE SPECS

CIVIC VSS TROUBLESHOOT/FIX Code 17 of the ECU shown as a solid CEL light and Code 4 of the TCU shown as a blinking "S" light or a blinking "D4" light is an indicator of a failed VSS circuit. 90% chance the fault is in the speed sensor's contacts.To learn more about the diagnostic codes see dtc.html.
