RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICITY Residential Energy Charges. $0.0945 per kwh for First 400 kwhs per billing period. $0.0750 per kwh for Next 1400 kwhs per billing period. $0.0565 per kwh for Over 1800 kwhs per billing period. In 2020, a total of $74,000 was awarded, with 75 students receiving a scholarship. The Trust Board has awarded 2,313 scholarships totaling $1.3 million since 1997. Scholarship funds are donated by Cuivre River Electric members who participate in Operation Round Up by rounding up their electric bill payments each month to the next highest dollar. ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND SAVINGS The overall program goal is to improve operating efficiency, including energy demand and kilowatt-hour use, across the cooperative's power supply network 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. OPERATION ROUND UP
Contact: ORU coordinator, Tim Schmidt, tschmidt@cuivre.com. Operation Round Up Grant Applications. There are four applications designed to meet a variety of needs for eligible applicants. The deadline is the last day of each month except for scholarships. Grant applications are available at Cuivre River Electric Cooperative offices or can be CAPITAL CREDIT REFUNDS Refunds are generally returned starting in the last week of July each year. Capital credits are a unique benefit of being served by an electric cooperative and make CREC very different from most Missouri utilities. Investor-owned electric utilities send their margins, or profits, to stockholders, and municipally-owned utilities keep theirprofits.
2021 YOUTH TOUR FINALISTS ANNOUNCED Cuivre River Electric Cooperative is proud to announce its 12 finalists for the 2021 Youth Tour essay contest. The top 12 scoring essays were selected by a panel of judges out of nearly 60 based on their cooperative knowledge, composition, originality, grammar andneatness.
