The theme for this month’s Power Tool Challenge is Porch/Patio. I didn’t need anything big built for my outdoor area that I just made over last month, but I did need a picnic caddy!. This post contains affiliate links for your convenience. PAINT A LONGABERGER BASKET To update my picnic basket, I first gave it a good cleaning (it was a little dusty from being stored in the basement). Then I applied a couple of coats of homemade chalkpaint. After the paint was dry, I sanded the edges to give it a “worn” look. HOW TO FRAME A MIRROR WITH CLIPS IN 5 EASY STEPS STEP THREE. Place the piece of wood against the mirror and mark the location of the clips with a pen or pencil. Using a utility knife, carefully make slices into the wood between the marks. At this point, you can use a small chisel to make a small recess into the wood. HOW TO HANG A PEGBOARD WITHOUT DRILLING INTO CINDER BLOCK Nail or staple a 1″ x 2″ board across the top to give the pegboard a framed, finished look. Since I’m only about five feet tall, it worked out perfectly for me to have the bottom of the pegboard right up against the top of my workbench. If you are taller, then you’ll want to hang it higher or add additional pegboards above the lower

ones.

STRAWBERRY BANANA PIÑA COLADA RECIPE 1/2 to 1 Cup of fresh or frozen (defrosted) strawberries. 1/2 teaspoon sugar. 1 small can pineapple juice (1 C) 1/2 C coconut cream. 1 small banana (sliced and frozen) 1/2 to 1 C diced and frozen pineapple chunks. 2 ounces of rum (I use coconut rum) a few ice cubes if needed. Thrift Store Frame Upcycle with Chalk Couture.

RIBBON WRAPPED VASE

You need nothing but ribbon to do this. Just bring the two end of the ribbon to the front of the vase, twist it twice, take the ends to the back, cross over, bring to the front and twist twice. Repeat one more time and then knot the ends in the back. That’s it! I just happened to have this ribbon that goes perfectly with the color of the tulips.

If you have priced kitchen cabinet hardware, you know it isn’t cheap! SCRAPBOOKING WITH CRICUT I just started designing my scrapbook page layouts in Cricut Design Space. I wish I had thought of this sooner! What a time saver. Let me show you how I use Cricut Design Space to create scrapbook pages, or what I like to call: Scrapbooking with Cricut! USING TRELLISES TO ADD PRIVACY TO A DECK Materials choices include: wood, metal, vinyl, copper, steel, and iron. There are over a dozen colors choices too! And with the wide range of prices, there are trellises for every budget. I chose the Eucalyptus wood trellises because they most closely match the color of my deck and I hoped they would blend in with the deck wood. DIY VINYL STORAGE SOLUTION A quick once-over with a sanding sponge got rid of the wood fibers. This was my first time using this router and router table. There is a definite learning curve to using a router but I found several helpful videos on YouTube and I can’t wait to try out the different bits and jigs!. Now for the sides of the vinyl storage tower. HOW TO PAINT A SIX PANEL DOOR Step One: Remove the door and lay flat. Thoroughly clean and dry door. And here’s a bonus fifth way to update an old basket. While this basket is not a Longaberger basket, I believe the same decoupaging method could be used. Decoupaged Basket. HOW TO BUILD AN OUTDOOR SERVING TABLE To get the angled bottom on the legs, I marked the wood for one of the legs with a pencil dot 2″ in from the edge and 4″ up from the bottom and drew a line connecting the dots. I used a circular saw to cut along the line. I then used that leg as a template for the three

remaining legs.
