One of my favorite pastimes is to listen to podcasts from the first episode onwards. The rationale of the why is because I HAVE to listen to it from the start to see the growth of the hosts involved. Every month, I will discuss some of the podcasts I have currently on my Binge List and cover my thoughts on each platform. I started when I was really young, I would say around two. I got into it and I would be sent off to art camps by my parents. When I was in school, I was really into the art classes. Just from that and their positive reinforcement in my work it kept growing from there. When it comes to art, what sparks a piece for you? Anything can inspire me. This past weekend, I was fortunate enough to be invited to a dance battle in Williamsburg. One day, he quit his job and decided to start up his own studio. While he was learning how to use photoshop, I started to get interested in it and was around while he would do shoots and editing. MB: MovementBago is all about Tobago, I know a lot of people are quite familiar with Trinidad but are a lot less aware of the other half of the Twin island republic, so MovementBago has really been my effort to put Tobago on the map. CA: And is there a motto or phrase that best represents your brand? BRAND PROFILE: STYLES OF MELODY CA: What’s your name and where are you from? SM: My name is Melody and I was born in Chicago but raised in Orlando, FL. CA: How would you explain your take on fashion and how did you get into it? SM: I view fashion as a form of art. I think art is how you express yourself and fashion is the way I express myself. It has always been my thing. I dress how I want to dress and do whatever I want ARTIST PROFILE: OLIVIA NGUYEN (AKA FIYABOMB) CA: What made you first start drawing? ON: I have always been an artist. I started when I was really young, I would say around two. I got into it and I would be sent off to art camps by my parents. When I was in school, I was really into the art classes. I got really good at it and kept practicing every single day. When I got to high school, Ireally got better.
ARTIST PROFILE: CURTIA WRIGHT What made you first start drawing? Growing up, my parents used to give me a lot of paper, pens, and markers to draw with. They used to draw with me and for me. Just from that and their positive reinforcement in my work it kept growing from there. When it comes to art, what sparks a piece for you? Anything can inspire me. A pattern in the ground or going to a gallery show and surrounded by art. PHOTOGRAPHER PROFILE: SIERRA KING CA: What caused you to get into photography? SK: My uncle started with the photography. He had a six-figure job and was really interested in photography. One day, he quit his job and decided to start up his own studio. While he was learning how to use photoshop, I started to get interested in it and was around while he would do shoots and editing. He asked if I wanted to learn it and I said BRAND PROFILE: BREAK. PHOTOGRAPHER PROFILE: DARA OKE CA: What made you get into photography? DO: I got into photography when I was pretty young, around the age of 13. I was pretty good with Photoshop and started out taking photos of my friends and then editing them. I got my first DSLR about a year later and things just went from there. I came up with Ghostel from an old cartoon I used to watch which was Space Ghost Coast to Coast. Space Ghost’s real name was Thad Ghostel and I got the last name from there.
