MACROS FOR EXCEL FORM CONTROL BUTTONS When a form button is added to an Excel worksheet, it is assigned a default numbered name, such as "Button 1". That name is also used as the new button's caption. To see the default name: Click on the new button to select it (or Ctrl+Click, if a macro has been assigned to the button). Then, look in the Name Box, at the left of the FormulaBar.
EXCEL DROP DOWN FROM FILTERED LIST Employee Drop Down. In this example, the workbook has a list of employees, in a formatted Excel table (tblEmp).. There is a named range – EmpList – based on the Employees column in that table.. In the sample workbook, there is a schedule sheet, with a data validation drop down list based on the EmpList named range.
