DIGITAL PRESENTATION TOOLS Updated 6/2020 As the saying goes - So many tools, So little time! Creating a list of digital presentation tools is an ongoing task. Here is just a beginning list of the many tools available to educators. Hopefully, you will find one that will suit your needs and your students' needs. NEW TITLES IN THE BOOK CLUB RESOURCE COLLECTION Since August 2019, we have added around 200 titles to the Colorado Book Club Resource (BCR), bringing the total to over 450 titles, most of which contain at least eight copies of a book. WHY USE INCLUSIVE LANGUAGE? Using appropriate terminology is a vital part of being an effective communicator. Using inclusive language is a way of showing consideration for everyone we meet. It is a way of recognizing, accepting, and sometimes celebrating personal characteristics such as gender, race, nationality, ethnicity, r WHO’S MOVING INTO AND OUT OF COLORADO? According to a new report from the State Demography Office, “each year between 2011 and 2016 between 235,000 and 250,000 people moved into Colorado, and between 160,000 and 190,000 people moved out of Colorado.”That means our state’s population grows by about 60,000 to 75,000 people per year! Michener placed his Centennial in northern Colorado, mostly based on Greeley. Many of the events depicted in the story, however, were inspired by true events in Colorado’s history. You will find supply lists and activities that are anchored with well-known books for curbside pick-up or through online subscriptions.
