CNDPO: COMMUNICABLE/NONCOMMUNICABLE DISEASE PREVENTION CNDPO. CNDPO is an organization that spreads awareness about the various communicable and noncommunicable diseases to teens.
STREP THROAT
Strep Throat. Strep throat is a contagious disease that causes a bacterial infection in the tonsils and throat. Signs and Symptoms of strep throat may include: Pain when swallowing. A sudden soreness of the throat. White spots on the back of the throat. A fever over 101degrees.
NONCOMMUNICABLE DISEASES A noncommunicable disease is NOT spread by any organism or through the environment. Certain habits or behaviors of someone can either decrease or increase the chances of getting many of these diseases. DIABETES - CNDPO: COMMUNICABLE/NONCOMMUNICABLE DISEASE Diabetes is a type of disease that affects how much and your body's capability to produce insulin, which is a hormone that moves energy to the cells and tells your body when to allow glucose to come in.ALZHEIMER'S
Alzheimer's is a disease in which many brain cells die causing memory loss and other mental functions to stop working. This disease typically starts out not too bad, but it gets worse over time. MONO - CNDPO: COMMUNICABLE/NONCOMMUNICABLE DISEASE Mono, or the "kissing disease", is a contagious disease caused by a virus that is spread through saliva. It can also be spread by sharing food or drinks with one that has it, or from a cough or sneeze from a person that has mono. ADHD - CNDPO: COMMUNICABLE/NONCOMMUNICABLE DISEASE ADHD ,or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, is a chronic condition that affects many, many children. This disease could also continue into adulthood. This disease has a combination of BIPOLAR - CNDPO: COMMUNICABLE/NONCOMMUNICABLE DISEASE Bipolar. Bipolar disorder is known as manic depression. This mental illness is a serious condition that can lead a person to the thoughts of suicide, damaged relationships and/or careers, and risky behaviors. Signs/symptoms of this disorder include: Unpredictable mood swings.Irritability.

The common cold is a viral infection. It affects the throat, nose, and other parts of one's upper respiratory tract. There are many symptoms that come with the common cold. GONORRHEA - CNDPO: COMMUNICABLE/NONCOMMUNICABLE DISEASE Gonorrhea. Gonorrhea is an STD, or sexually transmitted disease, and a lot of people that don't know about it until later in life. If you're not careful, you have the capability of passing the disease to someone else. If untreated, it can lead to some serious health problems. Teenagers have become the main target for these types of situations. More and more are getting too involved in things that causes them to get a disease. We are here to try and prevent these happenings. We believe that if something is not done soon, that many middle school children may start becoming involved in some things that can cause a high risk for getting a disease; teenagers are a big influence on those younger than them, because the others look up to the teens. The more the word is spread, the more diseases will be prevented.* Home
