CHANLYUT ENTERPRISES, INC. CITC’s Chanlyut program is an eight-month residential work-training program offering a new beginning for men who want to become productive members of society and turn around the self-destructive patterns in their lives.. Structured as a family, the program provides employment, peer-to-peer support, and education and job training through one of the program’s micro businesses. Valley of the Moon Park, the Park Strip, the trees behind Sullivan Arena — they had moved wherever felt safe. But nowhere felt truly safe. Outside the tent, people walked back and forth in the snow. FAMILY SKILLS DEVELOPMENT Equips the children and families of Alaska to maintain their ability to live in safe and nurturing environments. Through this program, CITC’s Child and Family Services Department operates home-based programs that are family-centered, strengths-based, solution-focused, and trauma-informed. REIMAGINING CHANLYUT The Chanlyut program reopens to fill a significant gap in inpatient recovery treatment. In 2006, CITC’s Chanlyut program opened its doors to men recovering from addiction or returning to society after incarceration. Modeled on the Delancey Street program in San Francisco, Chanlyut’s 18-month residency offered men a place to live and receive work-training, recovery support — and, most of VOCATIONAL TRAINING GRANTS PROGRAM The Vocational Training Grants Program is located at CITC – Employment and Training Services Department on the second floor of 3600 San Jeronimo Drive in Anchorage.
