Backed up by pike, roach and rudd this really is a lovely spot tospend
DAY TICKETS

HORSEPORT - CHRISTCHURCH ANGLING CLUB A relatively short stretch of the Avon that produces far more specimen fish than a venue of this size could be expected to. The main species present are barbel, chub, dace, pike and roach. It is the latter that are the real draw in the colder months with many 2lb plus specimens caught each year. The water extends to each side of the A338FLE FISHERIES
This complex is in Ampfield, Hampshire and comprises of a junior’s pond, two carp lakes and two match lakes which are ideal for bagging up. Carp to almost 20lb and all other species of coarse fish are on offer. Simply visit the fishery and present your membership card at the shop. Booking is not necessary and your ticket will cover 1 or 2rods.
WEDGEHILL PONDS
In 2018-19 the banks were rebuilt, new paths and platforms created and the whole venue fenced providing excellent access for all. We permit the use of one rod only between 15th March – 31st October. Two rods are permitted at other times. Top Pond: Carp to 18lb, perch to 4lb 3oz and lots of silver fish constitute the main species present. WEDGEHILL REG’S *UPDATED* Wedgehill Middle Pond New Regulations. This notice is to inform members that as of 1st March 2021 some new regulations will come into force for members fishing the middle pond. Maximum line strength, 8lbs. Maximum hook size, 10. Maximum lead 1oz, or small method feeder. The use of electronic bite alarms is not permitted. Only one rod/poleto
UNHOOKING MAT USE
Despite repeated requests and reaffirming of the regulations we are still getting members on fisheries, particularly Wedgehill, without unhooking mats. These are a vital part of every angler’s kit! We will now require every member found without a mat to leave the fishery and we will be making a note of their details. Any repeat TINCLETON - RIVER FROME - CHRISTCHURCH ANGLING CLUB River Levels. This fishery consists of approx 1000 metres of the main river and 950 metres of a smaller carrier. Fishing on the carrier can be difficult due to the fence that runs along its length, but still offers some good fishing. Similarly, don’t be put off by the trees HOME - CHRISTCHURCH ANGLING CLUB From chalk streams rich with barbel, chub and specimen roach & pike to stillwaters holding 50lb+ carp, double figure tench and 4lb+ perch, we have all aspects of coarse fishing covered. Game Overview. The Club offers an excellent selection of game fishing across its portfolio of waters. These include twelve venues where migratory fish can be targeted across the Hampshire Avon, Dorset Stour and Frome. We also have brown trout and grayling present in many of our running water venues.HOLTWOOD POOLS
Venue Rules. This 3 pool complex has been completely re-developed as a tench and crucian fishery over the past few years. There are no carp present at this idyllic venue. Extensive works have created a secure car park, wildlife fencing and excellent platforms on each pool. Access is excellent for all with many swims wheelchair friendly.HOLTWOOD UPDATE
Holtwood Ponds Development Plan 2021 I am writing to you on behalf of the committee to outline some exciting developments that are planned for early next year at Holtwood ponds. For a while now we have been concerned about the growth rate of theBISTERNE FISHERY
The famous Bisterne Fishery is a renowned stretch of the Hampshire Avon that produces huge coarse fish and salmon year after year. It is ostensibly a day ticket stretch but we have an agreement with the Estate for our members to have six coarse rods per day on the venue.SPINNAKER LAKE
Venue Rules. This 65-acre gravel pit is the Club’s specimen carp water. With a lower stocking ratio for the water’s size those present have grown to over 50lb. Also worth targeting are specimen tench, bream, roach and pike. The fish are in mint condition and have provided some terrific sport for members. This is far from being aneasy water
NEA MEADOWS LAKE
The venue is situated in a public common, so is very popular with dog walkers. Due to the over-friendly nature of the ducks, no floating baits are allowed. Part of the lake is nature reserve and is, therefore, out of bounds to club members. A great water for juniors.HUCKLESBROOK LAKE
Hucklesbrook Lake is a six acre gravel pit that holds an excellent head of carp to over 30lb and tench into double figures. There is also a large head of silverfish with both roach and perch over 2lb present. The venue has well established banks and large, cut swims making access very good andWAINSFORD LAKE
A beautiful estate lake in deep countryside, Wainsford is a fantastic place to spend some time fishing. It offers a very rare opportunity to catch wild carp – hook one approaching double figures and you are in for a real scrap! Also present are vast shoals of roach and rudd with huge nets of fin perfect specimens around 6-8oz possible along HOME - CHRISTCHURCH ANGLING CLUB From chalk streams rich with barbel, chub and specimen roach & pike to stillwaters holding 50lb+ carp, double figure tench and 4lb+ perch, we have all aspects of coarse fishing covered.
