Hey, I’m Chlo. (aka Chloe Lyons) Welcome to my corner of the internet, I’m so glad you are here! I live in Perth, Western Australia with my fiancé Grant, who is a super talented film maker. We’re getting married in October this year! My blogging journey began in 2011 as a way to inject a little creativity into my life and to document my craft projects. If you are a beginner at sewing like me and are wanting to try your hand at clothing I recommend this book over those tricky patterns by Vogue andMcCall’s.

It probably would have taken me months to figure out how to crochet a granny square, trying to interpret those messy little instructional drawings in the crochet books. For me this occurs on a daily basis, but I rarely have the funds or time to get on to whatever it is straight away and then it ends up on my forever growing to-do-list glaring at me each day I open my diary. APPLE AND BERRY COBBLER After a cooking dry spell which seemed to go on forever (partially due to the fact that our oven exploded) I finally got back in the kitchen this week! I missed my lovely heart-shaped measuring cups! This delicious fruit cobbler by Jamie Oliver is my go-to dessert when I am craving something a little more naughty than my usual cup of Milo (have I ever mentioned how addicted I am to Milo? I eat ADVENTURES IN GARDENING You guysI gardened! Can you believe it? Miss kills-anything-in-sight gardened, and so far she hasn’t killed anything but weeds. This isan amazing victory.
INSPIRATION STATIONS Each week I find myself trawling blog after blog (after blog, after blog, after blog) being inspired by food, crafts, fashion and home-wares. Here are the top five things on my inspiration list this week donut cake via Food Coma sewing box book via How About Orange envelope clutch via Swellmayde mirror collection via Cupcakes and Cashmere doily lace bowl via hearthandmade uk I HENRY OUT ON THE TOWN So I’m sure you saw Chloe’s blog here about my adorable puppy Henry. Needless to say he is adorable and such a good puppy which I am thrilled about seeing as I have heard reports that labradors can be a handful. Anyway he is now over 16 weeks old which means we have been able to take him out of the confines of our yard. A few weekends ago we decided it was time to go for a little walkSUMMER READING LIST
I’ve gotten back into reading in a big way. For the past few years I have taken to listening to audiobooks, but I find that I am not as engaged in what I am listening to the same way I would be if I was reading the printed word. While audiobooks definitely have their place (on long car rides, while exercising or catching public transport), reading allows for a more engrossing experience. HOW TO: MAKE A BRUSH ROLL Do you get as frustrated as I do when things in your life are cluttered and unorganised? Prior to making this brush roll, every time I would open my makeup bag I would be greeted with a sea of makeup brushes and would have to rummage to the bottom of the bag to find the product I was after. It was always a pain when I was in a rush and nine times out of ten I would have to dump half the POLKA DOT VINTAGE MARKET After having a long lie-in on Sunday morning (lets just say I went a little crazy at the engagement party) I made my way down to the Polka Dot Vintage Market at Claremont Showgrounds. I was so impressed by the masses of quality vintage threads, as well as the crafty goodies that were on offer and even more impressed by the turnout, there were people everywhere! I managed to score aCHLO & CO

The condition was probably made worse by my brother who insisted on jumping up and down and pressing all the buttons every time we rode one together CHLO & CO - PAGE 2 OF 12 - CHLOANDCO.COM Chlo & Co is a creative lifestyle blog by Chloe Lyons. ENGAGEMENT-MOON RECAP We were super lucky at the end of last year to take a two-week trip to Lombok and Bali in Indonesia. Seeing as G popped the question two days prior it turned out to be a bit of an engagement-moon! Here are some happy snaps from our time away: We scored some rooms with amazing views while we were away, this view from our balcony at Quinci Villas in Senggigi Lombok had us off to a* About

5 HANDY TOOLS TO HELP WITH A BLOG REBRANDJune 28, 2015
It’s safe to say that when I began my blog rebrand journey I was a little lost. With all of the decisions to be made around blogging platforms, hosting companies, graphic design and blog themes, things became overwhelming fast. Luckily the internet is amazing and it didn’t take me long to find some great tools to help me along the way. Here’s a little insight into the tools I used to make my rebrand a reality: 1. A BEAUTIFUL MESS BLOG DESIGN LOVE 2.0 I love those crafty gals over at A Beautiful Mess. Everything they touch seems to turn to gold, so I thought their Blog Design Love 2.0 e-course would be the best place to start when it came to my rebrand. The course is led by Promise Tangeman and Elise Blaha Cripe who are also very talented ladies and extremely engaging creative leaders.2. WORDPRESS
I love WordPress as a blogging platform. It’s so easy to use and at the same time it allows for great customisation so you can really make your site stand out. There are so many plugins that helped me along the way! WPide is my favourite plugin as it gives me access to “the code”, and now I’m convinced I am acomputer genius.
3. THEMEFOREST
The guys at ThemeForest have the most amazing blog themes for extremely reasonable prices. I really did my homework when I got to this stage because your blog’s theme determines the flexibility you have as a blogger. I found it useful to write down all of my must-haves to make sure I chose a theme that would suit mystyle of blog.
4. BEING BOSS PODCAST For some inspiration along the way I listened to Emily Thompson and Kathleen Shannon’s podcast for creative entrepreneurs, Being Boss . These guys give away so many handy tips when it comes to defining your brand and growing a business. It’s kind of crazy that it is free!5. CANVA
This is a little web-based graphic design gem. I designed the concept for the Chlo & Co logo in Canva and I use it to create custom feature images. Plus, there are tons of free resources in there and it is extremely easy to use. If you’re a blogger or aspire to be one, I hope you found these tipsuseful.
