MISS MUFFET'S STORY

CHATOPIA CAT RESCUE IS CANADIAN CHARITABLE VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO THE HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE OF ABANDONED, ABUSED AND NEGLECTED CATS THAT SPECIALIZES IN PUREBREEDS. Miss Muffet, a beautiful young Persian, struggles to breathe even when she is standing still. While the other cats at the Chatopia Pure Breed Cat Rescue run, jump, and play, Miss Muffet watches sadly from the sidelines. This beautiful cat was born with a genetic flaw that left her with very small nostrils. The condition can be repaired surgically by removing pieces of the nostril wall and widening the nostril passage. But as a rescue organization with limited resources, affording surgery is easier said than done. Miss Muffet will have a much better quality of life and an increased chance of adoption once the surgery is behind her. Without surgery she will continue to struggle to survive – and her chance of finding a forever home will

be slim.

OUR PARTNERS

Chatopia works with several other rescue organizations, SPCA's, Animal Control's, security, police, and animal cruelty inspectors to ensure that no animal is turned away, so while we do focus on purebred rescues, our neighbours gladly step in when needed. Our physical shelter is right next door to the Montreal SPCA. _The Montreal SPCA, as a large unlimited admission shelter, is able to save the number of lives that it does due its ability to place animals not only through our own programs but also through the important work of rescue organizations and other community partners.
