COLLEGE RESPONDS TO GOVERNOR’S COVID-19 DIRECTIVES As Oregon Gov. Kate Brown directs the statewide COVID-19 response, Columbia Gorge Community College today announced its own measures to comply with the governor’s executive order to higher education. Gov. Brown is prohibiting colleges from conducting in-person instruction beginning this Saturday through April 28. Only critical functions maycontinue.
Columbia Gorge Community College had already extended spring break in response to the epidemic. Spring break starts this Monday, March 21, and continues through April 3. Following the governor’s directive, CGCC will deliver all instruction solely on-line beginning with spring term April 6. LOCAL INSTRUCTORS TO TEACH COURSE ON BASIC PISTOL SAFETY Columbia Gorge Community College is offering the non-credit “NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course” for beginning and intermediate students. In this course, you will learn the basics from qualified local instructors. Each class consists of four training sessions held at the Indoor Range of The Dalles Rifle & Pistol Club.
