Canon AE-1. Canon AE-1 Program versus AE-1 Comparison. Canon AE-1 Program. Canon AF35M. Canon Canonet 28. Canon Canonet QL17. Canon Demi Half Frame. Canon EOS 650. Canon F THE TEN BEST MECHANICAL 35MM FILM SLRS EVER MADE Minolta SRT-102/303. For reasons unbeknownst to me, the Minolta SRT series always seems to get left in the lurch when it comes to the mechanical SLR discussion. This is the camera series that bestowed open-aperture metering to the masses, gave us our first taste of matrix metering with Minolta’s patented CLC System, and, in my opinion, comes closest to the feeling of shooting an M AGFA OPTIMA 1035 SENSOR REVIEW That tiny light sensor directly above the lens does a great job metering the entire scene, and the Agfa’s flexible shutter has a wide range. The Optima Sensor series is named based on their top shutter speed. The 335 is 1/300, 535 is 1/500, and the 1035 is 1/1000. All the models can, according to Agfa, handle up to 15 secondexposures.

FILM AND ME, FIVE YEARS LATER (EXPECTATION VERSUS REALITY) Five years ago I wanted to get into analog photography. Sadly, my parents had already sold their Minolta film SLRs and so I went on the hunt for a new old camera. I roamed the streets of my hometown peeking through shop windows and rummaging through shelves until I finally spotted my prey. Hidden behind Polaroids and point-and-shoots, I could NIKON NIKKOR 50MM F/1.8 LONGNOSE LENS REVIEW Compared to the 50mm F/1.8 AFs the saturation and contrast keep up but a drop in resolution is observed. Bokeh or background blur is a total dream thanks to the seven-bladed aperture. There’s definitely a more hexagonal shape to the blurred background but it is in no waydistracting.
SCHNEIDER KREUZNACH SUPER XENAR 50MM F/2.8 WHAT'S AN 'APOLLO' NIKON F AND WHY IT MATTERS Nikon’s first single lens reflex camera enjoyed a remarkably long production run. From April of 1959 to October of 1973 the Nikon F stood as one of the best cameras in the world. In September 1971 Nikon released their follow-up SLR, the Nikon F2, and while this camera brought a number of notable technical improvements, the original F wasn’t quite finished. OLYMPUS OM-1 CAMERA REVIEW The M-1’s plate should measure 51.5mm x 38mm while the OM-1’s plate measures 60.5mm x 38.5mm. Removing the pressure plate should reveal mounting studs 45mm apart, opposed to the later camera’s 52mm spacing. Internally things are more complicated, but we can tell the difference by removing the top plate and observing the coloring ofwires

Carl SCHNEIDER KREUZNACH SUPER XENAR 50MM F/2.8 Prior to WWII the five-element Xenar was only produced in medium format lenses in 50mm and 75mm sizes. Schneider-Kreuznach 25 th Jubilee book describes it “For special purposes, a new design of the Xenar has been introduced, and it is intended as a universal lens for roll-film cameras in medium small sizes such as 2 ¼ in. square negative.The full aperture is F:2,8, and the design is TEN GREAT POINT AND SHOOT FILM CAMERAS FROM $25 TO $99 The Canon Snappy S is a low-tech camera with a decent lens, one button operation, and a built-in user-selectable flash. The 35mm F/4.5 lens is undeniably slow, but it makes punchy photos in good light and the flash helps when things get dark.
