Being a Jedi is not about reaching some mystical level of nirvana, but being a better version of who you were yesterday, and the day before. AN OPEN LETTER TO THE JEDI COMMUNITY A Jedi is a human being who, through their own will, determination, faith, belief, etc. decides to improve themselves in order to better serve their community. This is both impractical and untrue. Jedi feel emotions like all human beings, but practice emotional well-being, stability, and control, feeling fully, but not allowing that feeling to override our judgment. Celibate: Jedi of the films are not allowed attachments. In a 2002 “THERE IS NO EMOTION, THERE IS PEACE.” There is no emotion there is peace. So ultimately, we DO have emotions, but they are caused or influenced by our thoughts and beliefs and other things we’ve learned as we’ve grown as humans.
