REMEMBERING LOPEZ RANCH The Lopez Ranch, whose sweet corn first developed a enthusiastic following before World War II, has closed, and the acreage, between bustling Marina Del Rey and the old Hughes Aircraft site in the Ballona Wetlands, will be developed. To overrride a veto, a supermajority is required in both houses: 290 in the House (at best, if all the uncalled races went R, they would be at 259), and 67 in the Senate (at best, they are at 55).
