(WOOD, CHAIN LINK, VINYL) The most commonly used wood types for fences are spruce, cedar and pine, so the longevity of your fence naturally depends on the type of wood it’s made from. Cedar may last for 15-30 years, spruce may last for 4-7 years and pine may last for 5-12 years. Treated wood, however, increases this longevity: pine and spruce may last for 20 years and BACKYARD UTILITY MARKING FLAG GUIDE (DIG MARKINGS COLORS) Red flags – Red is the most common flag. CEMETERY FENCING
Cemetery fencing serves both practical and aesthetic purposes. It defines the boundaries of a formal cemetery or a family plot. It keeps animals out, protecting graves and headstones from cattle and wild animals. Also, as a sign of respect to loved ones buried there, it should be attractive. For a strong fence, you want a low gauge, such as an 11 or 11.5. ADDING A FENCE TO A RENTAL PROPERTY Adding a Fence to A Rental Property. If you’re a landlord, you probably struggle with balancing how much time, energy and money to put into your rental property. You want your property to be a nice place to live, but at the same time, you know that tenants who seem normal at first might wind up being raving lunatics who damage yourproperty
HOW TO STOP A DOG FROM CHEWING AND DIGGING UNDER YOUR FENCE Landscaping could solve the problem. Dense shrubs along the fence line provide a barrier – and a visual buffer – that make your dog less likely and able to chew the fence. You could also consider a “redundant fence.”. For example, a chain-link fence inside awooden fence will
ADVANTAGES OF DIPPED STAIN VS SPRAYED STAIN Advantages of Dipped Stain vs Sprayed Stain. December 16, 2015. It’s a given that staining your fence helps protect wood from wind, rain and insect damage, and preserves the wood’s natural oils and fibers. This is especially vital for spruce fences, which dry out quickly. You can double the life of a spruce fence with proper staining.
