BRICWORKSPACE RESIDENCY Congratulations to our 2020 BRICworkspace residents: Destiny Belgrave, Lizania Cruz, Karen Miranda-Rivadeneira, Jasmine Murrell, and Sarah Nicholls. The BRICworkspace residency program provides emerging and mid-career artists the resources and support to make a significant commitment to their practice, as well as critical feedback and exposure of their work. SCRIPTWRITING ESSENTIALS & THE ART OF WRITING STRONG Award-winning filmmaker and author Booker T. Mattison will lead a beginning scriptwriting workshop presented by Reel Sisters and BRIC that will cover the essentials of writing scripts for TV, Film and Web Series.. Scriptwriting Essentials will offer tips on pitching your script to such major content platforms as OWN, Netflix, BET and HBO. You will learn how to write strong and richly layered HOW TO BECOME A TV / PODCAST PRODUCER 6 Easy Steps To Get Your Own TV Show / Podcast. In order to use the media center's state-of-the-art television and podcast studios, production equipment, editing suites, and facilities—at no cost—you will need to become a Certified Community Producer.BROOKLYN MADE

And Jimi Hendrix's final New Year's Eve. Co-presented by BRIC, CalArts Center for New Performance, and The Public Theater ’s Under the RadarFestival.
LATINX ABSTRACT
Latinx Abstract is a groundbreaking exhibition, focusing on the work of ten contemporary artists who work with varied media and approaches, and are united by their dedication to abstract languages. The exhibition includes work by figures who are relatively young and whose careers span little more than a decade, to those who have been active for a half century or more. PUBLIC ACCESS/OPEN NETWORKS FEATURING NEARLY 100 ARTISTS AND OVER 17 HOURS OF VIDEO!ON VIEW THROUGH: MAY 7, 2017In the late 1960s, visual artists experimenting with the new medium of video saw the potential of public access television to act as an open and uncensored platform for the creation and dissemination of their work. This exhibition will present both key and lesser-known figures who worked in the Public Access LESLIE GRIESBACH SCHULTZ TO STEP DOWN AS PRESIDENT Leslie Griesbach Schultz has announced that she will step down as President of BRIC, the leading presenter of free cultural programming in Brooklyn and a major incubator and supporter of Brooklyn artists and media-makers.
