Baltimore Polytechnic Institute was founded in 1883 when Joshua Plaskitt petitioned the city authorities to establish an engineering school. BPI has five bell schedules, a regular day schedule, an Advisory schedule, a schedule that has an assembly at the end of the day, a schedule for days with Class Meetings and a schedule for days with a two hour delay. This is a clock program that will be used in the event of an assembly in theafternoon.
