When someone is diagnosed with bowel cancer, one of the first questions they may ask is, 'What are the chances I will survive?'. Specialists answer this question using statistics. YOUNG-ONSET BOWEL CANCER (NEVER2YOUNG) 15,352 Australians are diagnosed with bowel cancer each year, 1,531 (10%) of whom are under the age of 50. TREATMENT | METASTATIC BOWEL CANCER (MCRC) Blood test: blood test samples ('liver function tests') can be taken to see how well your liver is working and can be used to monitor patients for the early detection of metastatic cancer.
