BLDG 61: BOULDER LIBRARY MAKERSPACE BLDG 61 is a free community workshop that provides maker education and technology to the public in a creative and inclusive environment. Description This collection contains an assortment of daguerreotypes, ambrotypes and tintypes collected by the Boulder Historical Society from 1940 through 1980. They are photographs of men, women and children, ca. 1845-1885. IRA KNEELAND COLLECTION. 166 photographs. Description. Two boxes of photographs taken by Ira Kneeland of his family, friends, and various locations around Boulder County and Denver. History. "Ira Kneeland was born before the Civil War in Vermont. His father was disabled in the war and when Ira was seventeen, his father received a $500 payment from the government. CHARLES NILON COLLECTION. Call Number 756-1-2. Date 1893-1948. Contents 1 folder. Description This folder contains material relating to Dearfield, in Weld County, Colorado, including newspaper clippings, townsite maps, promotional materials, and correspondence about Dearfield and GLEN H. HUNTINGTON ARCHITECTURAL DRAWINGS COLLECTION The drawings are in 776-0- (1-22), on the oversize shelves. History. Glen H. Huntington was born in Denver, Colorado, the son of Denver architect Glen Wood Huntington. Huntington set up practice in Boulder after W.W. I. He designed many houses in the University Hill and Chautauqua Heights area, numerous Greek society houses, churches, the REV. WILLIAM A. SUNDAY, 1908-1931: PHOTO 2 1 folder. Photographs of Billy Sunday and his tabernacle taken during 1908-1909. Folder contains newspaper clippings about Sunday that were published in 1908-1931, but predominantly cover his 5-week evangelist meetings in Boulder, Colo. in September-October 1909. The Library Go Club has switched to online meetings due to concerns over COVID-19. Club meets Sundays from 2-6 pm as usual, but online. Learn to play the ancient and mysterious board game known as Go. Developed 4000 years ago in China, the rules are so simple they can be taught in a few minutes--but it can take a lifetime to master the game. Ages 5 and up. Newcomers interested in learning to play should contact Paul at shimari@comcast.net for an introductory video lesson. After that, they can download software to play on the KGS Go Server and join a private room for the Boulder Kids and Teens Go Club. Parents are welcomed and encouraged, especially for younger children who will need a parents help to manage the computer end of things.
