WHAT TO BE AWARE OF WHEN BUYING AN R1100RT Hello, I have decided a 1999 or 2000 R1100RT will fit my needs and is in my price range ($5000). Looks like I can get one of these with about 50K on it. My question concerns what mechanical issues I should be aware of and I am interested in hearing EXPERIENCE / OPINIONS ON CRASH BARS FOR THE R1250RT A new Alpine White 2019 R1250RT will be waiting for me when the snow melts. This is an upgrade from my 2003 R1150RT (a big upgrade). Id like to get started on a few essentials and wanted anyones suggestions on a decent set of crash bars (front and rear) for this bike. From what I seen & my basic experience the later in the 1150RT series the less chance of spline issues & the later ABS system (same system just slightly improved) seems to be a more balanced system. 2002 R1150RT, THE INFAMOUS LURCHING PROBLEM Heres my first post for a little more background info. I recently acquired a 2002 R1150RT with 65K miles. Theres something wrong with her. Her idle isnt smooth and I got 29.5 MPG on my first tank (93 octane). I usually get good MPG on my vehicles.
