CIVIL WAR 2061
Joined: 03/23/2011. When I first heard of Civil War 2061 (Oxford Street Board Games, 2003 – John Wiley Davis), the idea was certainly intriguing. A war game about a futuristic struggle of the United States of America was certainly interesting. I don’t have many games that deal with war and the USA – Fortress America being a notableexception.
WHERE DO I FIND GRAPHIC DESIGNERS League of Gamemakers wrote a blog about this and there is a forum on Boardgamegeek all about finding game graphic designers (and artists).. For actual art assets, and samples work for artists and graphic designers, check out The Game Crafter's Art Assets section.. You can also post a request in the publishing forum HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT TO PAY FOR ARTWORK? My top choice got back to me and gave me these rates: $375 per hero. $75 per minion. $30 per card design (this artist would be able to do both art and card templates, a plus in my book) With those numbers, I'm looking at 4 heroes, approximately 110 minions, and 4 templates. That totals to almost $10,000, before rulebook design and box art. AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE GAME CRAFTER There are two ways to get consistently cut - custom cards. The first would be to spec out a custom die for a roller/cutter press and you would also need one of the presses out there like Accucut or Ellison. Depending on the shape and size of the die, you could be looking at$100 -

THE MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR HIGHLY DETAILED PLASTIC The Manufacturing Process for Highly Detailed Plastic Miniatures. 1, contact your physical sculptor to make your models, or turn to your 3D CAD designer (3D modeler) to make 3D CAD files or 3D models according to your 2D artists. 2, Send either of the above to an industrial manufactuer which is top experienced with high detailed miniatures. PLAYING CARD COATING It is a clear latex enamel. You have to be careful in spraying so that it doesn't get too thick in spots and adequately covers the cards all over. I have found that this provides a 'stiffer' feel to the card, but it does not impart the same feel as a real playing card. A war game about a futuristic struggle of the United States of America was certainly interesting. WHAT KIND OF MONEY IS MADE INVENTING A BOARD GAME? What kind of money can be made if you are lucky enough to have a game make it to the store shelf? I know that, of course, the sky is the limit and also that not many games make it, but I would be curious to learn how many pennies on the dollar the inventor makes and who else takes slices of the pie and in what amounts. A war game about a futuristic struggle of the United States of America was certainly interesting. I don’t have many games that deal with war and the USA – Fortress America being a notableexception.

My top choice got back to me and gave me these rates: $375 per hero. $75 per minion. $30 per card design (this artist would be able to do both art and card templates, a plus in my book) With those numbers, I'm looking at 4 heroes, approximately 110 minions, and 4 templates.
