THE REMOTE WORK ISSUE | APRIL 2021 >> The Remote Work Issue of BCLA Perspectives features articles on the various ways libraries have adapted to remote work and service delivery this past year. Many of us are still working from home, with all of the challenges that come with that. BC ACADEMIC LIBRARIES SECTION Welcome to the BC Academic Libraries Section (BCALS)!. BCALS is a section of the British Columbia Library Association. Its purpose is to promote the exchange of ideas among academic library personnel and to provide a network of professional expertise resulting in excellent service in the post-secondary libraries of British Columbia, using the latest methods, systems, and technologies. We encourage the development of reciprocal relationships between Aboriginal communities and information organizations such as libraries and community resource THE JOURNEY OF A NON-ALA-ACCREDITED LIBRARIAN IN CANADA The journey of a non-ALA-accredited librarian in Canada. This is the story of my journey as a librarian from Iran who wanted to work in Canada with a degree not accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). In Iran, I spent four years working toward my Bachelor of Library and Information Science degree and two and a half years refining
