PAINTING OF THE DAY: DISINFORMATION I When I began to paint Disinformation I, I wanted to relate this painting to a few things that I’ve watched, read, and/or listened to over the course of my life.This painting parallels the opening scene of the 1968 movie 2001: A Space Odyssey, where the monkey discovers a way to exert power over the other species and the situations in which they inserted themselves. LESS THAN OR EQUAL TO 2020 PROJECT Less Than or Equal To is a project inspired by mathematical symbol ≤.I decided to paint one small painting a day. BARTOSZ BEDA EXPLORES DUALITY BETWEEN ABSTRACT ART AN FIGURATIVE ART When I paint, I combine abstract art and figurative art, but I don’t create any systems in the abstract or figurative form within which objects, figures, and strokes find their order. The form is a conscious connection between me and the canvas. MOTIVATION AS AN ARTIST Like others, I have my dreams and goals that I want to reach in painting and contemporary art. This becomes my motivation. I always was inspired by Seneca, who once said: “_It is not that we have a short time to live, but that we waste a lot of it.” _I think the same about myself as an artist. It is not the lack of time or opportunities that were given to me, but how I manage them. If I see results that I am not happy with, that means that there is something wrong with my use of the time I have. The time is a motivation for me as an artist and becomes a primary inspiration to create. The fact that I am given specific circumstances pushes my limits to invest into creating a new combination of subjects and styles in my painting. Themes are not based only on my background, and it is not exactly true that I am only interested in exploring political issues like I stated in my statement that you could find on my website. BARTOSZ BEDA IS ONE OF THE ARTISTS IN DALLAS SINCE 2018 In 2018, I moved to Dallas in Texas and became of of the artist in Dallas. It was cery important move for me, as it allowed me to focus on different aspect in my career. I look forward to work and live here.
