Bank of Baroda started its overseas journey by opening its first branch way back in 1953 in Mombasa, Kenya. Since then the Bank has come a long way in expanding its international network to serve NRls/PIOs, Indian Corporates around the world and to meet the banking requirements of the local population in the country of operation. Please be alert on a new type of crime know as “Smishing” or SMS phishing, wherein a fraudulent message is sent calming that you have won a lottery or prize money. Please do not click on any links or do not share any of your personal or banking information to anyone including the Bank staff over the phone.

VISHING:

Please be alert on a new type of crime know as “Vishing” wherein a call is received from a fraudster posing as a Bank official, government officer or service provider requesting  you for your personal or banking information failing which your services will be deactivated. We request you to ignore such calls as they are fraudulent. Please do not share any of your personal or banking information with anyone including the Bank staff over the phone and we request you to report such calls to the local authorities of UAE. We urge you to ignore and delete such email/SMS and request you to report such emails to the local authorities of UAE. PHISHING:

Please be alert on a new type of crime known as “Phishing” wherein an email is received from a fraudster claiming to be from a bank or government entity requesting you to urgently verify or update your account information by clicking on a link provided in the email. Please do not share any of your personal or banking information by clicking on any links received from any suspicious emails.

SMISHING:

Please be alert on a new type of crime know as “Smishing” or SMS phishing, wherein a fraudulent message is sent calming that you have won a lottery or prize money. Please do not click on any links or do not share any of your personal or banking information to anyone including the Bank staff over the phone.

VISHING:

Please be alert on a new type of crime know as “Vishing” wherein a call is received from a fraudster posing as a Bank official, government officer or service provider requesting  you for your personal or banking information failing which your services will be deactivated. We request you to ignore such calls as they are fraudulent. Please do not share any of your personal or banking information with anyone including the Bank staff over the phone and we request you to report such calls to the local authorities of UAE. We urge you to ignore and delete such email/SMS and request you to report such emails to the local authorities of UAE.
