George Bamford, founder of Bamford Watch Department built his personalisation house as a means to make his own watch exclusive and individual which set him on a journey of discovery that started a revolution for personalised design. A crew of expert watchmakers and design technicians based in the Service Centre of the Mayfair HQ, nicknamed ’The Hive’ provide access to the latest technology and materials, assuring that the business is constantly leading from the front and redefining possibility. Strict quality control protocols have ensured that even the more ground breaking BWD designs have been painstakingly crafted according to the ‘Bamford Standard,’ leaving customers safe in the knowledge that their timepiece is not only an icon of luxury, but clinically constructed to the highest calibre. Nicknamed, ‘The Hive’, our townhouse headquarters in the heart of Mayfair, London is the perfect setting to start the process of creating a unique personalised watch. All 5 floors were transformed and a full refurbishment completed in 2014 to provide comfortable surrounding with three client rooms and an in-house service centre designed as a workshop space for the best watchmakers in the business. We consider ‘The Hive’ to be a creative sanctuary and a great place to catch up with customers and friends.
