ON THE HEELS OF BEING ON HAND AS THE TAR HEELS UNRAVELED AT THE HANDS OF THE BLUE DEVILS, A COVETED HIGH SCHOOL SOPHOMORE ON THE DUKE BASKETBALL RADAR IS PLANNING TO CHECK OUT A FEW OTHER ACC PROGRAMS.In his _SI_ blog
on Monday, Cannon School (Concord, N.C.) point guard Jaden Bradley, who ranks No.
8 overall on the _247Sports_ 2022 Composite,
reflected on what he witnessed firsthand on Saturday in Chapel Hill between the Duke basketball visitors and their floundering rivals. "I’m just coming off of a visit to North Carolina; I went there for the game against Duke and man," the 6-foot-3, 170-pound five-star noted, "that was a crazy game! The atmosphere was even better than I expected it to be. Carolina was up big...The fans were going crazy, and the players were hype! But when hit that buzzer-beater, it was quiet like there was no one in the gym. "After the game, I did get a chance to meet with . I thought it would be awkward because of the loss, but he was OK." ALSO READ: Duke's five most heartwarming Dean Dome wins Bradley, whose roadrunner legs and eye-popping finishes bring to mind former Duke basketball one-and-done Kyrie Irving, wrote
in his blog that he intends to soon take three more unofficial visits: to Duke, Florida St., and Louisville. He did not provide dates, nor did he specify whether the trips will coincide with games. One could assume, though, if Bradley has his way, he'll be at Duke-UNC Round Two in Cameron Indoor Stadium on March 7. Of course, seeing that the 16-year-old apparently has no choice right now but to learn the saxophone — "My parents force me to play, but I might as well enjoy it, so I’m getting into it" — chances are higher powers will ultimately be in charge of all the details. According to _247Sports_, Bradley holds nine offers, with Auburn, FSU, Florida, and Tennessee standing out as the biggest names. His Crystal Ball does not yet contain any predictions. Though Bradley, who visited Kentucky in October, has yet to land any blueblood scholarship invites, coaches from powerhouses have traveled to see him. Duke assistants did so in December. Bear in mind, too, Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski has yet to hand out a 2022 offer. RELATED: Duke draws interest from five-star 2022 SGAdvertisement

Completely agree. This team has to make Baker, White, and O’Connell confident shooters by giving more opportunities, let them have more minutes when stroke is on, and make team effort to develop this capacity, even if there is some periods of suffering. Baker has the most potential of the three. Otherwise done the second weekend ofNCAA.

Well, Duke went a clean 4-0 in those games with its latest victory coming against No. 8 Florida State in Cameron, 70-65. The way in which Duke started and finished the game was truly impressive after coming off an emotional overtime win 48 hours prior against the Tar Heels. Four of the ten players that saw action for the Blue Devils scored at least ten points and eight of the ten players scored for Duke in itswin.
Tre Jones
and
Jordan Goldwire
paced Duke with 13 points each, however, Goldwire was an impressive 5-for-5 from the field and 3-of-3 from 3-point range, although the junior did not play the final two minutes after leaving with what looked like cramping. Goldwire leaving the game might have been a blessing in disguise for Duke because it forced Mike Krzyzewskito put Matthew Hurt
on
the floor who hit four clutch free throws and a game saving offensive rebound with approximately 11 seconds left in the game. Hurt was substantially better than he was on Saturday against North Carolina where he did not score and picked up four fouls in sevenminutes.
ALSO READ: Tre Jones named ACC Player of Week after Herculean efforts The freshman responded with 12 points and two rebounds, 2-of-4 from the field and 6-of-6 from the free throw line, coming off the bench.Advertisement
Monday night was a very good win for the Blue Devils, but the major concerning sign for Duke was the 21 turnovers that Florida State forced. Sixteen of those turnovers were steals by the Seminoles and it was largely in part due to Duke just not being strong with the ball.Vernon Carey Jr.
notched his 12th double-double of the season with ten points and ten rebounds while Cassius Stanley just fell short with nine points and seven rebounds. ALSO READ: Duke legend praises the intensity and passion of key roleplayers
Duke improved to 21-3 on the season and 11-2 in ACC play while moving into sole possession of second place, trailing the Louisville Cardinals by one game for the No. 1 seed in the ACC Tournament.
