THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW WHEN CUTTING & DONATING YOUR HAIR You just need to follow the guidelines set by the organization that takes the donations. Some prefer hair in one ponytail or braid, while others prefer your hair in several sections so the hair is cut off more evenly. Keep in mind the hair has to be completely dry before you send it in a zipper lock bag. Otherwise the hair will mold and is HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR DAUGHTER'S CURLY HAIR HAIR CARE TIPS FOR CURLY HAIR: Never brush curly hair. Only use wide tooth combs (or your fingers), and comb curly hair when it is wet. Don’t use a towel or hair dryer to dry curly hair – it damages it and causes frizz. If you must dry it with something, use a large T-shirt and just pat it dry.CURLFORMERS Q&A
If you’re talking about just their “starter kits” that only hold 6-8 – you’ definitely need a lot of them! Q: My daughter’s hair is a few inches past her shoulder and still not very thick. How many curlformers would you recommend and what style? A: I think you should be fine to use as many as we do – 16 or 2 packages. LONG & EXTRA WIDE CURLFORMERS The curls achieved by the extra wide Curlformers are really beautiful. A much more mature curl or wave is achieved – perfect for a teen or adult. In fact, now that my hair is getting a bit longer, I really want to try them in my hair! I posted this pic on FB back aroundEaster, but

Obviously, exercise caution when using around small children due to the pointy end. But just slip that pointed end under the elastic and just like when you’re unpicking something you’ve sewed, you can snap the elastic with this.HEALING FIELD

QUICK AND EASY ARCHIVES Hi! I'm Becky and welcome to Hairland! Some would say I'm obsessed with hairI'm ok with that! I have 3 beautiful daughters with amazing hair, and over the years doing their hair has become our bonding time. ALICE IN WONDERLAND HAIRSTYLE #3 As always – start with the hair curled – and parted smack down the middle of the head. And as always – we used our Curlformers. Gently comb the hair back on the left side with your fingers. This should have a loose/natural look to it. Pull hair up from about the ear andfasten it
2 MINUTE NO SEW RIBBON BOWS Step 7 – Attach to headband, or hairstyle. As a side note – we have headbands that have ribbon looped around them and I simply have to slip the alligator clip through that loop to keep it on the headband. If you don’t have headbands like that, you could easily take a small strip of ribbon & hot glue it to your headband forming aloop.
DIY DUTCH BRAID TUCK UNDER HAIRSTYLE FOR TEENS AND TWEENS 4 – Once you reach your ear, stop adding hair to your Dutch braid. Continue a regular 3 strand braid until you almost reach the end. 5 – Temporarily clip off the braid with a clip or elastic. If desired, gently pull on the edges of the braid to pancake it. 6 – On the right side, section out some hair near the face and ear.PULL APART BUN
6 – On the top of the bun, gently pull apart the sections of the braid that are right on top. They will be covering up the tighter braided section of the braid mentioned in Step 3 (The bottom part of your braid should have been tighter!) 7 – With bobby pins, secure these sections of looser braid off on the sides of your bun, so thatthe
HOW TO MAKE A NYLON HEADBAND Step 1 – Cut the nylon. If you are working with tights, cut it off just below the thicker elastic part on top & cut the seam off of the toe. If you are using a pair of knee high nylons, cut off the elastic part at the top & then the toe. TIP: Keep that toe seam you cut off .
