LG C1 OR SONY A80J
I think that the answer to this question lies is the percentage of time that it will be used between gaming and TV viewing. Most of the reviews comparing the C1 to the A90J give a slight edge to the Sony in all aspects except for Gaming, where they give the C1 a significant edge. For the most part, the reviews are saying if you're a gamer, go with the C1, if not go with the A90J. ISSUES WITH YAMAHA TSR 700 I bought Denon S750H on sale at Costco and setup everything with the above speakers. The sound quality was good but the sub was below par. My usage is 90% movies (Netflix,Prime,Youtube,HBO) with 10% Music. Then I saw the Yamaha TSR 700 is also on sale in Costco for $330 and going through the forum came to know that the Yamaha sounds better. UPGRADING NEW DENON AVR, X VS S AND H? RECEIVER BRANDS WITH THE BEST PREOUTS? Hi. I’m looking for the mid tier brand (Denon/Marantz, Onkyo/Pioneer, Yamaha) that have the best preamp and preouts, built into their AVR’s. From what I understand, the output signal on some brands preouts is so weak, that a regular amp often can’t reach its full output. I’ve heard that BEST PRACTICE: PLUG ALL DEVICES INTO RECEIVER, OR INTO TV Just connect all of your devices to the receiver via HDMI and just use a single HDMI out to the tv for video. That way, the receiver processes the audio in whatever format it is presented in without issues. If you want to use the on-board apps, or OTA television audio, you can connect an optical cable from the tv to the receiver. INFOCUS PROJECTOR WON'T POWER UP Afterwards there is no indication that the projector is receiving power. The buttons do not light up, the fans don't spin, and the lamp doesn't turn on. It seems that there is no power getting to the rest of the projector. Talking to some electrical guys at work, they suspect that a capacitor has blown somewhere on the power supplyboard.

HELP MAKING SPEAKER CONNECTIONS IN THE FLOOR I am getting ready to do a pretty extensive overhaul of our converted attic space. Due to the layout my L/R surrounds are off the walls. Currently I have them hanging from the ceiling at ear level. This was due to some rowdy puppies that would have knocked over any speakers. The dogs aren't

Agree with Ratman on both accounts. At 5'-6' practically any passive High Speed HDMI cable will work. The cable either works or it doesn't. It can not make your audio/video any better than the source it is coming from. EDIT: The cables you reference are active cables which is a bit of an overkill for runs less than 10'.
