His Handbook of Road Technology is now in its fourth international edition, and his world history of roads, Ways of the World, has been a major work in this field for two decades.In 2005, Dr Lay was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia and in 2000, the Australian Road Research Board named its DAVID AND VALERIE SOLOMON AWARD David and Valerie Solomon Award. CLIMATE CHALLENGES AND THE PATH TO MITIGATION We are a Learned Academy of independent experts helping Australians understand and use technology to solve complex problems. EZIO RIZZARDO POLYMER SCHOLARSHIP The scholarship will provide $10,000 per year over up to three years, plus a $5000 travel fund. The Academy administers the scholarship, which is funded by the former CRC for Polymers.
