For more information about American Wetlands Month visit: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service JOIN ASWM FOR AMERICAN WETLANDS MONTH ON:NEW ASWM PUBLICATION ASWM INSIGHTS ON THE FINAL WOTUS RULE: THE 2020 NAVIGABLE WATERS PROTECTION RULE On April 21, 2020, the US Environmental Protection Agency published the Navigable Waters Protection Rule in the _Federal Register._ The rule will come into effect on June 22, 2020. To help states and tribes better understand how the rule will change jurisdiction of Waters of the United States, ASWM has developed a document, entitled "ASWM Insights on the Final WOTUS Rule: The 2020 Navigable Waters Protection Rule". This document includes key takeaways from the new rule, specific language and citations useful to wetland professionals and information about potential impacts for states and tribes, as well as early considerations around implementation.
