DIMICATOR COMING TO ASFOLK! Join us in welcoming Roland Warzecha, famed instructor of the Dimicator historical fencing school. He will be teaching two weekend-long classes on the use of the sword, specifically when paired with a buckler, and also with a center-grip round shield. SWORD AND BUCKLER
SEPTEMBER 28TH AND 29TH Prepare yourself for two days of intensive training focused on the sword and buckler play found in the Walpurgis Manuscript, also known as Royal Armouries Ms. I.33. Roland is a world renowned instructor in multiple forms of sword and shield combat, and specializes in the practice of sword and buckler you will learn in this event. SWORD AND SHIELD

A weekend long look at the practice of center-grip shield and it's use with the sword. This combination was especially prevalent during the Viking age.
