CCAB CODE OF CONDUCT Under its terms of reference from the Council of the Association for the Study of Animal Behaviour (the Association), the Accreditation Committee is required to maintain a Code of Conduct. This Code sets out certain minimum standards for conduct with which Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourists (CCABs) are required to comply. CCAB renewal — ASAB. All Accredited CCABs are required to submit a renewal document and pay an annual renewal fee at the start of each calendar year. Additionally, CCABs are required to provide a log of CPD and cases seen on a 5-yearly cycle. The ASAB medal was designed by Jonathan Kingdon and is struck in bronze. Prof. Jane Hurst is awarded the 2017 ASAB Medal by ASAB President Prof. Pat Monaghan. Members of ASAB are invited to nominate one or more candidates for the medal. Female nominees are particularly encouraged as women tend to be under-represented at the nominationstage.

ASAB WAS FOUNDED IN 1936 TO PROMOTE THE STUDY OF ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR Membership is open to all who share our interests. There are now around 1000 members, the majority drawn from Britain and Europe. Many members are professional biologists who work in universities, research institutes, and schools. ASAB is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community, and aims to ensure fair and equitable representation and participation throughout all of ASAB’s activities and in the wider animal behaviour research community, irrespective of characteristics including but not limited to age, disability, ethnicity, gender, andsexuality.
