The focus of our Bear Bile Farming programme is to rescue bears from the bear bile industry, provide life-long care for rescued bears at our award-winning sanctuaries in China and Vietnam, and work towards ending the industry in Asia. Over 20,000 bears – mainly moon bears but also sun bears and brown bears – are held in FACTS ABOUT CRUELTY TO ANIMALS IN ASIA Cruelty to Dogs and Cats in Asia. Life for millions of dogs and cats in China is dangerous. Some are abandoned pets, left to fend for themselves after being dumped by their owners. Many are strays born on the streets. Government authorities organise brutal killing campaigns in an attempt to reduce stray dog and cat populations. DONATE - ANIMALS ASIA Donate. Animals Asia receives a large portion of its funding from individual donors like you. PET OWNERS URGED TO KEEP CALM AS THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT COMPANION ANIMALS CAN BE THE SOURCE OF HUMAN COVID-19 INFECTION. Recent news reports have suggested that a dog in Hong Kong which has tested ‘weak positive’ for the COVID-19 now has low-level infection and experts unanimously conclude this constitutes human-to-animal transmission.
