Desta vez, o músico e a sua equipa de técnicos decidiram abrir o seu baú discográfico e recuperar vários temas, desde do tempo do vinil até às suas mais recentes edições, numa surpreendente viagem sem qualquer preocupação de fidelidade estética sonora, possibilitando, desse modo,recordar algumas das suas mais emblemáticas composições que têm marcado a música contemporânea Açoreana, como, por exemplo, a mítica “Chamateia” ou “No Vapor da Madrugada” (nova versão), entre outras. As vozes que já chegavam ao céu a partir do nosso Alentejo foram reconhecidas como bem universal. É um tempo curto que ainda dista deste dia memorável em Paris mas não será cedo para começar a perceber o impacto que este reconhecimento estará a ter. Janita Salomé, um dos Homens do Cante, Ana Paula Amendoeira, Diretora Regional de Cultura do Alentejo, Salwa Castelo-Branco, uma das coordenadoras da candidatura, e José Orta, Professor no IPBeja que há muito participa deste mundo do Cante, são os convidados com os quais vamos pensar este processo e traçar ideias para o futuro. O Centro UNESCO em Beja, no que toca ao Cante, assume o seu papel de preservação deste património numa base contínua, em estreita relação com os grupos corais, os verdadeiros agentes e guardiães deste património e em diálogo aberto com a comunidade.
