NIGERIAN – AMINA YONIS After noticing the opening of a new takeaway, I Go Chop, in Hackney, I needed to try it ASAP! For one Iftar (breaking fast) meal, I decided to pick up a few items from the menu from them.I AM IN POOLE
For the first May Bank Holiday, I found myself in the North of England at York and the Lake District. For this Bank Holiday, I instead headed South to Poole! In fact, this getaway was a nice surprise planned (and perfectly executed) by my friends for my birthday. BREATHTAKING SKYLINE FROM MONT-ROYAL! Possibly THE most popular tourist attraction in Montreal is the view of Montreal city in all its glory from the observatory at the top of Mont-Royal. Funnily enough, I stumbled across this view! AlI AM IN CAMDEN TOWN
Camden Town (Camden) is most certainly a must-visit for anyone visiting or living in London. Although one may not think of it as an ‘attraction’, Camden is most certainly an extremely popular area with everything from vintage clothes to Ethiopian coffee and muchmore.
HELICOPTER – AMINA YONIS To celebrate my graduation (and marriage), my siblings surprised me with a HeliAir Helicopter fight over London (link here). They told me to keep that weekend available, so I knew they were planning something; a helicopter ride over London was the LAST thing on mymind.
HALALFOOD – AMINA YONIS Travelling to Amsterdam was spontaneous. I mean spontaneous in the most spontaneous way possible. My good friend had recently quit her job she felt displeased in, with an position in TOURIST – AMINA YONIS I visited New York in October but I'm JUST getting round to publishing this post as the PhD study life just took over! I had such an amazing time in the concrete jungle of NYC and it was extremely eye-opening and an enjoyable trip - would definitely recommend to anyone! IDEAS – AMINA YONIS Recently, many people have asked me how I planned my 4 cities in 4 days trip around Northern Italy. I used to be the kind of person who travelled to one city and spent the whole trip in the one city - but lately, my holidays are rarely limited to one city. CANADA – AMINA YONIS Ottawa is the capital city of Canada - *WAIT*, the capital isn't TORONTO?? This is such a common mistake amongst visitors to Canada. Although I have been to Toronto four times before, I have never visited Ottawa, and so I thought it was right to travel two hours from Montreal to see what the capital of Canada could offer me. QUEBEC – AMINA YONIS Montreal is a bilingual city - almost everyone speaks fluent French and English. C'est un problème for those that want to learn French here as it is common for people to 'switch' to English as soon as anaccent is detected.
