WALZ LOSES IN COURT, SETTLES WITH CHURCHES Walz loses in court, settles with churches. For the first time since invoking emergency orders, Gov. Tim Walz lost a court battle challenging his emergency powers, specifically his orders limiting church worship services, treating them differently than grocery stores, retail outlets and CAMPAIGN TO RECALL ALL RED WING CITY COUNCILORS PROCEEDS Campaign to recall all Red Wing City Councilors proceeds over city hall opposition. It’s not every day the entire city council of a community faces a recall election. But that’s exactly what organizers of the Recall City Hall Committee in Red Wing hope to accomplish through a drive underway to capture enough signatures to go

to the polls.

On Thursday, April 16th, the Minnesota senate passed legislation that would allow alcohol to-go sales by restaurants with liquor licenses. The bill is supposed to be voted on today in the house before being sent to Governor Walz, who has indicated that he would sign the proposal into law if passed by the legislature. This bill if passed will of course be a big step in ensuring businesses gain some edge on acquiring what would otherwise be lost business. Over the past couple of weeks people and certain groups have signed petitions asking Governor Walz to consider making temporary amendments...

Most people don’t realize how important the Line 3 replacement project in Minnesota truly is. Not only would it reduce the chances of an oil spill by replacing an aging, corroded pipeline with a safer, state-of-the art new pipeline, but it would also allow this pipeline to transport more oil into the United States than we currently purchase from Saudi Arabia. Add this to the extra pipeline capacity that would be brought online thanks to the Keystone XL pipeline, and it would be the equivalent of replacing all of OPEC, as you can see in the graph below which uses...
