LANCAIR | AIRCRAFT DESIGNS Lancair. In 1982 Martin Hollmann held one of his aircraft design classes in Santa Monica, CA. Six people attended including Lance Neibuaer. He asked Martin if there was a future in bringing to market a new, two place sport aircraft. COMPOSITE AIRCRAFT DESIGN Description. REVISED 2003. By Martin Hollmann. The landing gear of the Sportster was designed to 3.0 gs and many hard landings in a period of 29 years have proven that this load factor is adequate. No landing gear or other structural failures have ever occurred in the Sportster over this time period. The landing gear for the Bumble Bee are designed to PORPOISING | AIRCRAFT DESIGNS (1) where A is the fuselage flat plate drag area and r is the air density. The gravity force simply points down: (2) where M is the gyroplane mass and g is the acceleration of gravity. The blade lift force is assumed to be perpendicular to the blade disk: (3) The horizontal tail is assumed to provide a lift which is perpendicular to the air flow and proportional to the sin of the angle of attack:MARTIN HOLLMANN

Zenair Zenair CH601 and CH650 Aircraft Designs, Inc. (ADI) has been contracted by Zenair to evaluate the structural integrity of their CH601 and CH650 wing design.
