It is a true drum roaster, easily capable of bringing a full KG of beans to first crack in under 12 minutes – a remarkable feat for a machine that plugs into a standard wall socket. And the Bullet R1 is highly responsive to user input, giving you precise control over drum speed, fan speed, and heating power during the course of each roast FAN CALIBRATION GUIDE Follow these steps to calibrate (or re-calibrate) your exhaust fan: Take off your chaff collector. (Please note: NOT just the chaff filter.) Turn on the Bullet and go to the menu section 6 by clicking F1 until the clock LED shows 6. Press the “A” button (top left button). If no calibration has been done before this should start the process.
CLEANING THE IMPELLER Cleaning the Impeller. If you notice some coffee grime accumulating on the impeller, it may be time for a deep clean. All you need is a rag and some cleaning solution — we find baking soda and boiling water works well. This video will guide you through the steps. THE DO’S AND DON’TS OF ROASTING ON THE BULLET R1 When you roast in temperatures above 30c, you risk overheating your Bullet R1. This is particularly true for 110V units which run a little less efficiently than their 220V counterparts. And the longer you run any electronics at higher temperatures, the faster they will degrade.
