ABOUT THE AGA KHAN EDUCATION SERVICES The Aga Khan Education Service (AKES) was created by Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan, the current Aga Khan's predecessor and grandfather. Aga Khan Schools were first established as early as 1905. These included a handful of community-based literacy classes in remote rural areas of South East Asia which were strikingly progressive fortheir time.
ADMISSIONS - AGA KHAN SCHOOLS Eligibility Criteria for Admission to Grade XI. Students who clear the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) (or its equivalent) annual examination from the AKU-EB or any other recognised Board / University, with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the Science Group, or a minimum of 55% in the General Group, are eligible to applyfor admission.
