PASSING THE NCCAOM EXAMS Passing the NCCAOM exams requires having both the necessary knowledge and having effectively studied. AFEA is a Five Element school and the exams lean heavily on TCM theory. WHAT MAKES A GOOD FIVE ELEMENT ADMISSIONS ESSAY The essay is an expression of a desire, of a dream, and it’s a chance to hear about the journey towards Five Element Acupuncture. More importantly it’s a way for the applicant to distinguish themselves and demonstrate their compassion. Believe me, I know writing isn’t everyones favorite activity. And writing about one’sself can be hard.

APPLYING TO THE ACADEMY After all materials have been received, the Admissions Coordinator will contact you to schedule an interview with an Admissions Committee member. Interviews can be conducted in-person, by video conference, or by phone. Corequisite courses are Western science courses that are a part of the Academy’s curriculum, but which students take at other accredited institutions as transfer credits. Students have the option of completing these courses concurrently with the Academy’s programs or taking them before they enroll.
